More Reasons to Make the Switch to DC!

ASE image.png

As more and more appliances and devices are being powered by direct current (DC) rather than alternating current (AC), more and more buildings are being fitted to supply DC power. This is to avoid  wasteful conversion processes, which can result in a 5-20% loss of energy. However, the switch from AC to DC is moving slowly, mostly due to lack of incentives for both manufacturers and designers. But recently this has begun to change thanks to LEED’s new pilot credit which gives building project teams two options for earning LEED points. Nextek is proud to be part of the effort to make DC power supplies more prevalent and to save energy every day with their technology.
